St. Patrick´s Day
Today in class we learnt about St. Patrick´s Day. It is an Irish festival that is celebrated every year on the 17th of March.
St. Patrick was the patron saint of Ireland because he was the first person to teach religion to people there.
St. Patrick´s Day is celebrated all over the world. The biggest parade in the world is in New York in the United States. The river in Chicago city is also dyed green every year to celebrate St. Patrick´s Day.
On St. Patrick´s Day you can celebrate by wearing the colour green and watching a parade or going to listen to Irish music. It is typical to spend this day with your family and friends because it is a holiday in Ireland.
